Anime: Naruto Shippuuden

Yes… finally after 1 year and 9 months... THE FILLERS HAVE ENDED!!!!. No more stupid D rank missions, no more chakra stones, no more rasengan and kage bunshin over and over and over again. (I ignored the entire filler mess)

Naruto Shippuuden is the name of the new season that follows Kishimoto’s original story in the manga. It loosely translates to Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki. (Wooohooo!!!)

The first 1 hour episode is BRILLIANT...starts off when Jiraiya and Naruto return. Which means they left out the intermediary manga chapter “Kakashi Gaiden” (basically about Kakashi and how he got his sharingan) which occurred before the time skip. I hope they do include it in the future. Right now I'm just so happy the fillers have ended. And after watching the first 2 episodes... all I can say is... IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT...

Obviously all of the characters are older and the artwork is revamped to show distinct changes. The sound and animation are definitely fresh as expected (love Shikamaru's voice *swoons*) As for Naruto himself he’s definitely more mature now... in some ways. hahaha I'll let you find out on your own. Although I already know the story from reading the manga, there's still more things to enjoy like the new soundtrack. It's wonderful, as expected of Toshio Masuda: dramatic, epic and even a little nostalgic. I loved the Star Wars influenced track during the akatsuki scene... that liquid, building, swooning and chanting in the background really gets you into it, (ahhh music... something the manga doesn't have, for obvious reasons.)

Overall impression: A+ (well you know how I feel, need I say more? *jumps up and down*) Woohooo!!!!!
